A/B Creative Testing
Definition
The practice of running two or more ad variations simultaneously within a Reddit campaign to compare performance and identify which creative elements — image, headline, body copy, or CTA — drive the best results for a given audience.
Context
Reddit's algorithm naturally favours higher-performing creative over time when multiple creatives exist within an Ad Group — which can introduce bias in split tests. For clean A/B testing, use separate Ad Groups or campaigns per variant with identical targeting to limit algorithmic interference.
Relevance to Reddit
Test one variable at a time rather than multiple simultaneously to isolate what is driving the performance difference. Maintain equivalent budget allocation across variants for statistically valid results.
