Definition
A label or badge system on Reddit that can be applied to posts (Post Flair) or user profiles (User Flair) within individual subreddits. Flair categorizes content by topic or identifies users by role, expertise, verified affiliation, or community status.
Context
Flair is subreddit-specific — flair earned or assigned in one community does not carry over to others. Brand representatives participating in multiple subreddits must request or configure flair separately in each community. Some subreddits require post flair before submissions are accepted — AutoModerator removes posts lacking required flair automatically.

Flair is one of the most practically important Reddit features for brand marketers. Post Flair helps content get discovered within subreddit topic filters.
