Network Activation

>

Growth Levers

Definition

The fourth layer of Karmic's subreddit growth model, in which a brand invites existing audiences — email subscribers, social followers, newsletter readers, and customers — to discover and independently participate in its subreddit.

Context

Karmic uses two tactics: sharing threads that are already producing good conversations, and promoting upcoming events such as a leader AMA. Network activation never includes incentives, suggested replies, or requests to upvote, subscribe, or take a particular position.

Relevance to Reddit

The people who already know and trust a brand are often its most valuable community members. Network activation comes last so they arrive in a community that already has content, members, and engagement.
