Posting Karma Threshold
Definition
A minimum karma score required by a subreddit before an account can submit posts or comments. Enforced automatically through AutoModerator rules as a spam prevention mechanism.
Context
Karma thresholds vary widely across subreddits — some require only 10–50 karma, others require hundreds or thousands. Communities do not always publish their thresholds openly — brands may only discover a threshold when posts are automatically removed. Building karma through commenting (which generates Comment Karma) is often faster and more efficient than building it through posts alone.

Karma thresholds are a primary reason brand accounts need to be built and aged before launching community participation.
