A JavaScript tracking snippet placed on an advertiser's website that captures behavior events — page views, sign-ups, purchases — and sends that data to Reddit Ads for conversion attribution, retargeting audience creation, and campaign optimization.
Context
Standard Reddit Pixel events include PageVisit, ViewContent, Search, AddToCart, Purchase, Lead, SignUp, and Custom. Each event type feeds the algorithm differently — Purchase events unlock the most efficient conversion-objective optimization, while softer events like PageVisit are better suited to awareness and retargeting audience building.

Install and verify the Pixel before launching any paid campaign. Without it, conversion optimization and audience retargeting are unavailable. Supplement with CAPI to compensate for signal loss from ad blockers, browser privacy settings, and iOS restrictions.
