Source Material (Reddit Threads)
Definition
In Karmic's thread craft process, the raw idea a brand reshapes into a Reddit-native thread — drawn from its blog, social content, customer conversations, support tickets, reviews, news in its niche, or viral threads in adjacent subreddits.
Context
Source material is inspiration, not something to republish. Viral threads in adjacent communities can reveal the questions an audience wants to discuss, but the wording should always be original.
Relevance to Reddit
Source material tells a brand what is worth discussing; the thread format determines how to present it. Separating the two lets a brand turn existing content into a steady supply of community-native threads.
