Context
Throwaway accounts are a recognized and accepted Reddit cultural practice for personal anonymity. They are distinct from sock puppet accounts (which exist to manipulate votes or simulate multiple opinions) and from brand accounts operating covertly (which violate disclosure requirements). The key difference is the purpose: genuine personal anonymity versus commercial manipulation.
